Circular Process Mapping Framework

Circular Process Mapping is a fundamental activity for the effective implementation of the principles that underpin the Circular Economy model.

Although the term “circular” is embedded in its name, the Circular Economy does not refer to the mere circulation of residues, but rather to a systemic, economic, and technological perspective encompassing the entire production value chain. Within this framework, four core concepts can be highlighted: residues as raw materials, the use of energy from renewable sources, resilience through process diversity, and systems thinking.

Based on these pillars, HpM’s processes and business models are structured in collaboration with its clients. The solutions developed by HpM continuously seek alignment with the Circular Economy concepts disseminated by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, adopting the Butterfly Diagram illustrated below as the primary graphical reference for circular process mapping.
